Phyllospora Necklace I

$250.00

This unique necklace was cast from a Crayweed gasbladder (Phyllospora comosa). Crayweed is a very common seaweed in Sydney after being recently restored, and can also be found in other parts of south-eastern Australia forming part of the Great Southern Reef. You may recognise it from being washed up on the beach, or forming beautiful reefs to swim and snorkel on. This piece is a perfect statement necklace, but also comfortable enough to wear everyday. Each piece is unique as they are only cast once using the ancient technique of lost wax casting. We handmade these in our Sydney Studio from recycled sterling silver, and hope that you will enjoy wearing your piece of the sea.

The necklace you will receive is the one pictured. It comes on a 16” chain with a 2” extension.

Collection Site: Dharawal Country (Cronulla Beach, Australia)

Species: Scientific name - Phyllospora comosa, Common names - Crayweed

Please allow 2-3 business days for dispatch.
